Alican Yazicioglu also known as Phallen is a producer and composer born in Istanbul.

For Phallen, music has always been the means of expressing things within himself, what he has turned to in order to discover who he is and cleanse his mind since he was a little child.

His primary aim is to speak his music as a language of his soul, as a bridge to share what he feels with others and possibly make them feel the way he does. In other words, use music as a means of communication and clear expression of his own self. He started his journey in music with piano lessons at the age of 4 and continued with guitar lessons during his high school as a hobby.

Though his early years were spent in Istanbul, Phallen grew as a child of the world.  After graduating from MEF High School he went onto Istanbul Bilgi University for college. Over there he had an exchange year at Vassar College and later on transferred and graduated from Bentley University with a major in Economics-Finance. After pursuing a Masters degree on management at Kings College London, he worked at several jobs in New York.

Never truly satisfied with his working life, with all his impatience he wanted to live his life according to what he believes and not by the enforcements. Deciding to turn his hobby to his career, he started his professional music career at 2015 with the album project of 'Phallen'.

Making you chase the innovative and the different, NYC has been the place where Phallen expended his vision the most. First he started to get involved with electronic music trend and the view from his studio in New York was perfect for inspiration in that sense. Then grew interest on experimental music by focusing on both industrial and atmospheric sound.

After living abroad for a decade at various cities he chose to return to his origins and moved his studio to Istanbul Zorlu Center to keep the same vibe at his former studio.

Based in both New York and Istanbul, Phallen currently splits his time for sound and music related things between producing his own album that would define his sound and composing for film and visual art.
